<First Year : Preliminary Courses>

First year students just graduated from high school are not only newcomers to college life but are new starters in a long journey into medicine. The aim of the first year curriculum is to offer students the opportunitiy to experience the unrestrained academic atmosphere of a university while enriching their thoughts and feelings. For this purpose, other elective courses such as Humanities, Liberal Arts, Social Sciences, Languages, Culture and History are also provided by other parts of the university. These electives are offered to help students see medicine from the outside and relate them to medicine. Some of these electives are still offered throughout the second year.
Students are required to study Biology, Physics, Chemistry, and Computer Sciences which are prerequisite courses for the study of medicine.
